Jesus Asks for Help

In the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus asks for help from his friends, but they sleep. He asks God to deliver him from the violent end he sees coming but God is silent. Jesus was let down by his friends and his Father God, not only one time but three times. Jesus was sorrowful, he grieved even to death. Yet, he was not defeated and he remained faithful. Was Jesus super human or was his experience something we can identify with and learn from? The scriptures tell us that Jesus in the garden praying was just like one of us. What sustained him can also sustain you and so we will ask, “What was it that made him so strong? Is that strength available to us”
