Sunday Morning FiL (Faith in Life)

Our Sunday morning youth group meets most Sundays during the year.  All 6th – 12th grade students are invited to attend.  Youth can go to the CAVE right after the children’s sermon.  FiL is a time for teens to discuss how faith and life intersect, work on upcoming worship or service projects, and generally hang-out and have fun.  Bagels or donuts are generally provided.

Starbucks Sundays

Once a month, usually the 2nd Sunday of the month, the Morning FiL goes to Starbucks in order to interact with patrons and be a visible particpant in the Deerfield communty. Youth pay for their own drinks and snacks if they desire, but many just come to hang out and enjoy the fellowship.

Confirmation

All students in 6th-8th grade are invited to participate in our three-year confirmation program. This program prepares students to be responsible particpants in our church, community, and world. Confirmation focuses on the aspects of Christian faith, being an active disciple of Christ, discussing United Methodist principles, and allows the students to discern their call in life.
