Youth Group
During Sunday morning worship, students meet in the youth room (a.k.a. The Cave) in the basement of the church for FiL- Faith in Life. During FiL, students work on upcoming worship and service projects while chatting about their weeks and spending time praying for one another and the world. We encourage our youth to be involved in the life of our congregation and in their communities. Whether it is greeting, ushering, helping in Sunday School, or serving at a soup kitchen, we strive to find ways for youth to lead and serve.
Each month, our youth ministry hosts one fellowship event and one service project. You can find out about these events on our Youth Group Events page.
Our Confirmation program is for students in 6th - 8th grades. We have a three year curriculum that emphasizes both faith formation and psychological development. Our Confirmation experience has both a mentoring component as well as a group component. We normally meet one Sunday evening each month during the school year.
It is no surprise that today’s youth are just as (if not more than) busy as adults. At the same time, they’re confronted with many questions and issues without having a lifetime of experience to fall back on. They, perhaps more than anyone else, need a group of friends and mentors who they can count on and talk to. It’s particularly important if that group can help them along their journey of faith, asking the same questions and experiencing the same joy that only God can provide.
